The Copenhagen Tango festival is organized by “Tangoforeningen“. (The Copenhagen Tango Association) We strive to create a warm marathon-like atmosphere where dancers and music lovers meet throughout the festival to share our passion for tango. We want to present Milonguero s, musicians, DJs and dancers from abroad to meet with tango community of Copenhagen. Tangoforeningen brings people fascinated by argentine tango, the dance and the music together. Tangoforeningen was founded on 3. October 1998 and has currently more than 500 member´s. All Work within Tangoforeningen is voluntary. Tangoforeningen is a non profit organization which is financially supported by its members through an annual quota. The aim of Tangoforeningen is to increase the awareness of tango – the dance, as well as the music – for all who want to know more about the Argentine tango and the music tradition and for those who wants to participate in the activities and events of Tangoforeningen. As a member of Tangoforeningen there is a discount on the entrance fee to the festival.
