Ragusina Tango Marathon 2015

Thank you for your patience regarding Ragusina Tango Marathon.

In the past month our partner hotel and the main location of the Ragusina Tango Marathon has changed the conditions of the agreement towards the marathon organizers and it's participants. We have been taken away the dance-hall our marathon was supposed to happen in. The alternatives are unacceptable dance locations that are a serious blow to the quality of the planned marathon experience.

In our experience with organization we have dealt with compromise on various levels but there is a certain level of quality below which we cannot go as organizers and as dancers - specially in a premium location as Dubrovnik and certainly not with a 290 euro price tag (which 90% goes into accommodation and food). Although it destroys our dream and breaks our hearts we must cancel the Ragusina Tango Marathon for the year 2015. It is the first time that we meet with such hard decision but it seems an organizationaly right one and specially a right one from the position of a visitor dancer who would invest so much into the marathon weekend. We hope we will find a way to bring tango to Dubrovnik in the future.

We are aware that some of you have planned your trip and maybe even bought plane tickets. With 3 months to go there should be enough time to change your plans or get a refund for any purchases you may have made. Still, we would like to somehow ease the blow and offer each one of you who bought the tickets a free Milonguero Package for Mediterranean Summer Tango Festival 2016 in Poreč, Croatia. RAGUSINA TANGO MARATHON 2015
Organized by the team behind the long-standing Mediterranean Summer Tango Festival in Poreč, Ragusina Tango Marathon is a first marathon in the most beautiful place in Croatia, the timeless city of Dubrovnik.

The registration for the first edition of the Ragusina Tango Marathon in Dubrovnik, Croatia will open on the morning of 31 May. That would be Sunday. And a very special Sunday it is - Croatia is getting its first tango marathon in its most beautiful city.

Registrations will be accepted only through the registration form on the marathon's official website www.ragusinatango.com. As we would like the event to be visited by people from as many countries as possible, the selection of participants is not based only on the registration time and order. The balance of leaders and followers is of highest priority, of course.

PRICES:
The price of the marathon package is 290€ per person.
The package includes:

- the marathon entry
- 2 nights in the 5 star hotel Dubrovnik Palace in a double room with a view of the Elafiti islands (during registrations please choose your preferred roommate; couple registrations will be assigned as roommates)
- food during the marathon - in detail: 2x breakfast (SAT/SUN), 2x brunch (SAT/SUN), 2x dinner (FRI/SAT) and 2x night-snacks (FRI/SAT)

The marathon is residential, meaning that other accommodation options aren't available.

Single rooms are available in limited number only on request at registrations. Additional nights in hotel will also be available.
