A passionate and experienced tango master, “the tango DJ that enchanted Europe”, Organiser and Art Director of L’Aquila Tango Festival & Marathon, organiser of and dancer at numerous tango shows, and – and awesome tango partner, regularly learning in Argentina with the best tango dancers and teachers, touring in Europe and CIS regularly with workshops and shows and within his international Tango DJ tour.

Within this visit to Riga Andrea Dedò will work together with the talented Italian tango dancer and teacher Monica Di Pietro
• Seven workshops – DJ SEMINAR, SOLO TECHNIQUE and CLASSES FOR COUPLES – Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Mar 10-13, 2016.
WHO AND HOW WILL BENEFIT FROM THE WORKSHOPS?
* Carefully selected Andrea seminar topics will offer a variety of useful and immediately applicable skills, contributing to discovery and development of internal resources of every tango dancer, providing opportunity to learn how to be able to hear and connect with higher quality within a couple and, most importantly - to develop senses to give and to receive more joy and fulfilment, dancing tango.
* In every classes Andrea will help us to look for solutions and answers - why do we need this? How do we do it technically? When do we see this (in what orchestras)? What helps us communicate this?

* Tango is not only steps…but mainly - feeling the music and your partner. We’ll discover how we can change this feeling to make our partner happy and ourselves too! Embrace, connection, cadencia. How can you become an amazing partner?
15:30-17:00 – W5 - TANGO VALS: Dancing in the clouds.
* Vals has some magic…when the music comes inside your body. It’s only necessary to understand how you can use it, and we will do it! Romance of fun? How can you make your Vals easy, light and musical?

* Changing the way you think about tango and the approach to steps and adornos will surely change your way of dancing for the better. How can you get yourself out of dancing the same steps again and again? How can you make your dance always different? How can you find and dance new emotions and inspiration?
15:45-17:15 – W7 - MILONGA CLASS: Traspie games.
Is Milonga fast? Hard to dance? Absolutely not! It’s like a game for children… you’ll be able to enjoy it completely with some little tricks. No need to run! Take your time and enjoy the traspie!

Lovers of tango embrace and intensity of life combine to create an experience of art and life. Their style is characterized by energy, elegance, harmony and passion that are conveyed through their personal way of dancing, which is full of imagination and musicality.
Their lessons are conducted in a relaxed and fun way (focusing on the basic assumptions underlying tango as a social dance) with the goal of achieving a good dance level for every student, pulling out from each of them their best qualities. Lessons are aimed at explanation of leading and following technique, the elements of improvisation and interpretation of music, which are meant to convey to their students the fundamentals of connection between man-woman through the embrace and the movement of the body.
Monica Di Pietro
Discovered her talent for dance very early, and started dancing when she was really young: first, classical dance with the best teacher of the Rome Opera Theater, and then 15 years in Modern and Contemporary dance. Then she discovered her passion and incredible feeling for Argentine tango. She is now the new talent of the Italian tango scene.
Andrea Dedò
Italian dancer, teacher, musician and international DJ. Andrea has been teaching and dancing professionally since 2008, after studying during his frequent stays in Buenos Aires with some of the best tango dancers of the world. Since then, Andrea has danced and taught in several festivals and workshops in Europe.
Since 2012, he has been a dancer in the "Tango Rouge Company", with masters and choreographers Neri Piliu and Yanina Quiñones, in the show "Noches de Buenos Aires".
In 2011, he danced in the show "Casting, el espectaculo!" with big names such as Geraldine Rojas and Ezequiel Paludi.
In 2010, he founded the “Instinto Tango Company”, with which he produced the show "¿Aqui se baila el Tango?"
Andrea is the Artistic Director of the “International L’Aquila Tango Marathon & Festival” (www.laquilatangofestival.com), also the founder and director of the Italian Tango Magazine “El tanguero” (www.eltanguero.it).
He directs his school in Italy “Istinto Tango Accademy”, and organizes a regular milonga “La milonga di Camila...” (www.istintotango.it).
Andrea is also a renowned international DJ and a musician: he studied at the Conservatory, obtaining two degrees in percussion instruments and Jazz music, as well as several master's degrees in classical music, jazz, popular music, etc. He was a musician in orchestras and bands, playing on tour in Italy, France and Japan.
Since 2011, he has been invited as a teacher in several festivals and workshops in Italy and Europe, for both perfomances/shows and workshops.
