Oscar Casas and Ana Miguel Weekend

Oscar Casas and Ana Miguel are coming to Madison!

Please save the weekend of September 23, 2016 and join us for a weekend of social dancing and instruction. Oscar Casas is an internationally recognized maestro of the art of social Argentine Tango, generous and prolific on YouTube with both performance and instructional videos, and one of the the happiest milongueros you'll ever see on the social dance floor. With his teaching and performance partner, Ana Miguel, they will be teaching six classes and performing at Milonga Victrola.

The schedule is set. The opening milonga will be held at the Italian Workmen's Club on Friday, September 23. It will be preceeded by Oscar and Ana's first class, and Doug Ruehl will DJ. Saturday, September 24th will see three classes in the afternoon and Milonga Victrola Saturday evening DJd by Marquis Childs. Marquis will DJ at least two tandas using his victrola, Malena. If you have never danced to 78s played on a victrola, it is like going through a time machine. For those who like dancing into the night, a late night milonga will be held at Tango House of Madison after Milonga Victrola. Finally, two classes will be held on Sunday afternoon. All Saturday and Sunday classes as well as Milonga Victrola will be held at The Madison Senior Center.

This promises to be a tango rich weekend, and I hope you can join us for all or part of the activities.
