Hola Tango dancers,
Most of us, or at least many of us, when traveling to see family/friends, or on business, or on vacation typically hit the Internet to get our tango fix at our destination. So, with that in mind, we have suggestions regarding the 1st International Tango Gala in Mineral de Pozos, Mexico July 8, 9, 10. For those coming from the US or other countries don't simply think of traveling so far just for some dancing...you can do that where you live. Consider it a vacation trip where you will see the safe and beautiful Mexican State of Guanajuato, meet the wonderful Mexican people, experience the food, the culture, the history, and the landscapes. Mineral de Pozos is halfway between the great cities of Querétaro and the World Heritage City of San Miguel de Allende. Experience them. Mineral de Pozos is a small village of only about 4000 population and has been declared in Mexico a "Pueblo Mágico." It is situated at 7,500 feet elevation with moderate days and cool evening. For those coming to the Gala who live in Mexico, they know all of that already. And then there is the opportunity for new friendships and your passion for tango...workshops, practicas, milongas, private lessons, and live music provided by our main guest, multidisciplinary tango artist Alejandro Pinzón, who will travel from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA to perform on his bandoneón for our Gala Night (Saturday), assisted by three international musicians specially gathered for the occasion. Alejandro will also share his “Listen. Feel. Tango” dance workshops...all within the new, and one of the finest tango salons anywhere. With the current favorable exchange rate, it's a great time to visit Mexico, but then, anytime is a good time to visit Mexico.

Cost for Milongas, Workshops, and Private Lessons
Milongas - Friday 270 Pesos. Sunday 270 Pesos. Saturday with Live Music 360 Pesos.
Workshops - 360 Pesos each.
Private Lessons - Individual 540 Pesos. Couple 720 Pesos.
Package - All three milongas and all three workshops 1800 Pesos.
Current exchange rate - One dollar equals approximately 18 pesos.

At electric plant - sign for San Luis de la Paz) turn left. Straight into Mineral de Pozos. La Villa Boutique Hotel is first building on the right. Can't miss it.
