Description
Welcome to the 9th Bergen Tango Marathon!
The marathon takes place at Fensal in the centre of Bergen, where you willl enjoy great music and a wonderful dance floor, lots of fabulous food, and the " Bergen atmosphere". Each night our bar will be open, serving all kinds of drinks, including Bastians specially brewed tango beer.
We offer affordable accommodation and a host that will do his best in order to make the Bergen journey, both smooth and memoarable.
For those who wants somehting extra, there will be guided tours in and around Bergen.
If you need to scrub of some tango dust, the hamam will be open during the entire weekend, and of course, there will be the Bergen Surprise!
We will have a balanced number of leaders and followers, totally approx. 230. Participants should have dancing level medium advanced or higher. In addition, admissions are mainly based on time of registration and location.
Included in our marathon is the Fire Up Milonga on Nov. 3 and the Dynamite Departure on Nov. 6, which also takes place in Fensal.
DJ's will be presented later.
Registration opens on June 4th, at 18:00 (local time) on www.bergentangomarathon.no
The price is NOK 950, incl. Fire up milonga and Dynamite departure.
Affordable accommodation will be offered to all participants.

The Bergen marathon 1.-3.4.2016 was nice! I hope some leaders have learned the 'Leaders' Cabeceo' by the start of 9th Bergen marathon :) because it makes it so much easier to immerse in the embrace, when everyone knows how to enter the dance floor. I know, there is the same problem eg. in Helsinki, they are no Saints all of them Finns, either ;) of some leaders just cutting their way through the Ronda and entering the flor disregarding the comfort and concentration on the dance of fellow dancers already in the Ronda. Some people even drive by overtaking between the lanes, something they would never do in the real traffic on the highway. Surprisingly, it seems to be the habit of very 'old' dancers, maybe they didn't the codes of Milonga in those ancient days? Anyways, I really enjoyed the Bergen TC-tango 1.-4.4.2016 :) Markku fra Helsinki
