Description

This year, the Baden-Baden Tango Festival and Marathon celebrates its 20th anniversary. Ever since its inception it has been one of Europe's finest tango festivals. Mesmerising venues in the breathtaking scenery of the Black Forest build the backdrop of this amazing festival. To celebrate this anniversary the festival is extended to include a marathon to be held in a separate beautiful room adjacent to the Benazet Saal which is the main venue of the festival. Marathon participants will have access to the Benazet Saal and can watch the performances of the great maestros as well. As always, some of the greatest tango maestros are part of the event.  The orchestra Sexteto Cristal (actually 7 musicians) has a reputation for a perfect sound, innovative arrangements and a repertoire which extends from the golden era to Piazzolla.
