Chelyabinsk is gathering together tango lovers from all around the world for a new format festival – with classes for tango teachers (The Laboratory of Graciela Gonzalez). The festival aims to unite people of different professions and origins who are driven by tango passion. It will bring together people from different cities and regions, tango teachers and school owners, the media – energetic and passionate people who love dancing the tango. Our “godmother” is the famous Graciela Gonzalez, one of the most respected maestros of the new age of tango, the author of internationally recognized “Women’s techniques” (1994) and “Men as leaders” (1995) seminars.

During the four days of the festival there will be opportunities for everybody to get exposure to the culture of Argentina, take their first tango class with tango celebrities, attend tango classes, milongas and even hear live tango orchestra, the DEMOLIENDO TANGOS from Argentina! You will also get the chance to connect with local tango community, take a tour around Chelyabinsk and make new friends.

The idea of the festival is to bring together tango lovers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and all over the CIS and the world to improve their techniques in dancing and teaching tango. Graciela Gonzalez and her students and friends teach the famous old milonguero style flavoured with their own unique tricks and techniques.
