Description
Welcome to the northernmost tango event in the world!
Our concept is to provide a varied programme: milongas, workshops and nature experiences in the sunny Arctic.
There are 3 elements to the event: Workshops, Marathon and a Tango Getaway. You are welcome to join all three or choose the ones that suit you best.
The event is organised by Tango Polar - the northernmost Argentine tango club in the world. Our tango community is small but our tango spirit is big. Our mission is to turn Tromsø into the Buenos Aires of the North... Come and help us make it happen!
There are 3 elements to the event: Workshops, Marathon and a Tango Getaway. You are welcome to join all three or choose the ones that suit you best. We have space for about 15 couples on the Workshops and about 120 dancers on the Marathon. The Tango Getaway can host 25 people.
Tromsø Tango Meeting is a role balanced event. Couple registrations will thus be prioritised. Female leaders and male followers are welcome to register as well as dual role dancers. We will try to couple up single registrations as much as we can.
We will play traditional music on all the afternoon and evening milongas. Special 2 hour afterparties with alternative music are dedicated to tango nuevo lovers. We will follow the milonguero codes of ronda and cabeceo.
Your registration will be complete with a completed payment and a confirmation from the organisers. Please, do not rush to buy your flight tickets before your registration is fully confirmed.
We open the workshop registration first for full-passes only. In time we may open for single workshop registration. The marathon milongas are sold as a package only. Single milonga tickets will be available at the door, provided there is still space. We have space for about 100 participants.
