Fabulous Argentinian tango dancer and teacher Noelia Barsi has been travelling the world with her partner Aoniken Quiroga since last year, but during a break from their tour we will have the pleasure of seeing her in Finland as our invited guest teacher.

Noelia visited our Nothern country some years ago with her former dance partner, the legendary Javier Rodriguez. This time, she will be accompanied by Giorgio Regnoli, an Italian-born tango teacher based in Sweden. Giorgio teaches regularly at his own school in Stockholm and this will be his first time working in Helsinki. We are thrilled and very much looking forward to meeting them both!

Noelia and Giorgio will give a series of workshops at El Ático and perfom at the Saturday milonga on May 26th. If you live outside of Helsinki, this special event is definitely a reason for a trip to the capital. Write down the dates and make your plans accordingly! More information about the weekend and our visiting teachers will be posted soon. Registration starts at the end of March.

QUESTIONS:

Do I have to register with a partner?

Registration in couples is required for all classes except solo technique on Saturday. You can register for the workshops alone but your registration will be confirmed only when a partner has been found. This is why it’s a good idea to be active and look for one at tango lessons and milongas. Even if you don't have a partner you should definitely take the lesson for followers/leaders on Saturday and come to the evening milonga afterwards!

Can I attend only one part of a mini-seminar?

Yes you can! Taking both classes is highly recommended but not necessary. The two-part structure gives continuity to the process of learning and makes it possible for the group to work on a topic in a more focussed, intense way, but you are free to register for only one of the two classes if you wish as each has a separate theme.

What does "all levels" mean?

If you are wondering whether an "all levels" workshop is too easy or too difficult for you, the answer is probably no! These classes are not meant for absolute beginners but the themes that are dealt with are useful for all students regardless of their dance background. Also for experienced dancers who wish to deepen their understanding of the topic.
