Dj workshops for starting Dj´s and Experienced / Professionals

Starting in 2008 Kristian Salikoski is the first professional tango dj in Finland. Besides his own milonga Milonga Pacifico he has played - to name a few cities - in Buenos Aires, Berlin, Madrid and Barcelona.

There will be one workshop for beginning Dj´s (13-14.30), where we will walk through the basics of tango Dj´ing. For example: what are the most important orquestas? how to set up tandas? and the use of cortinas.

The second workshop is for experienced Dj´s (14.30-16.00). In this meeting of Dj´s we´ll dive deep into the art of tango Dj´ing. We try to find answers among others to the following questions:

What are the possible pitfalls when one starts explore more the immense world of tango music? How to adjust your playing accordingly to the nature of the milonga in question? To what extend we can really read the dancers?

The workshops will be held in finnish / english
