Description

We are very happy to present this young milonguro couple as the teachers of Maldito´s spring event 2018.

Theme of the weekend is Tango milonguero and the magic of close embrace.

About the teachers:

Osky and Tajana are an energetic, joy-spreading couple who skillfully and generously share their knowledge of tango with their students. Their classes are characterized by laughter, joy and a lot of hard work.

”We are teachers and performers. But first of all, we are tangueros, social dancers. We have covered thousands of kilometres and sweated hectolitres on the dance floor. This is why our lessons focus on building the connection and embrace necessary for expressing musicality and changes of dynamic at the milonga. We offer you tools designed to stimulate your mind and body and to encourage you to create your own dance and interpretation of the music.”

Some interesting facts abut Osky and Tajana:

This passionate young milonguero couple runs one of the most prominent tango schools in Zagreb. But their story as a couple began in Poreč 2011, when they met on the dance floor. If you are a true tango dancer, you will surely understand what Tajana means, when she says "they really felt a special connection in the dance". After that "click", they continued dancing and together they formed as a new couple. Their first performance together, was in El Yeite, Buenos Aires 2012.

As one of the board members of Croatian Tango Dancers Association, Tajana is also one of the organizers of Mediterranean Summer Tango Festival. MSTF is one of Europe’s largest and most appreciated tango festivals. Its hosting the world's finest maestros, highly acclaimed international DJs and is visited by hundreds of dancers from all over the world.

Osky's background has deep roots in tango where his father, Oscar Casas, founded the well-known El Beso in the center of Buenos Aires. But his roots are even deeper, as Oskys grandparents organized three different milongas per week back in 1950-1960’s Buenos Aires.

Don't miss this well lovely milonguero couple in April!!

EVENT ORGANISER

Maldito Tango

Maldito Tango is a non-profit organization, with a board working voluntarily for the pure joy of promoting and expanding the tango scene in Gothenburg. We try to keep the prices down on our practicas, milongas, workshops and the yearly festivalito; budgeting to match the expenses with an estimated income to match +/- 0. We strive for quality by inviting top teachers, while having a small group of participants in the workshops. This allows each attendee the possibility to receive more personal feedback, to develop individually, as level and experience may vary within the class. The board: Mirian hernandez Johnsson (+46701436820) Patrik Nilsson Sten-Sture Gustavsson Ylva Gustavsson
